Decadent Chocolate Cakes
As demonstrated on KUSI on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9, 2010
Ingredients:
- 12 oz 72% Dark Chocolate
- 6 oz Butter (1 1/2 sticks)
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 Cup Sugar (7.5 oz)
- 3/4 Cup Sifted Flour (3 oz)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
Directions:
- Melt chocolate with the butter, vanilla, and salt in a double boiler. Reserve warm.
- Whip eggs with sugar in a mixer for 5 minutes. (You may mix longer, but not shorter.)
- Pour warm chocolate mixture into whipped eggs and stir together.
- Gently stir in the flour.
- Pour into prepared cupcake molds until 3/4 full and bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes, or until wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out with fudgey bits attached.
Notes:
- You may add 1/8 cup of your favorite liqueur in with the chocolate mixture for a little added flavor.
